Infographics Spotlight – Giving Information a Visual Boost
As graphic designers, it is our job to help our clients communicate their message to their audience clearly and quickly. Often, the use of an infographic is a great way to convey a message without using a lot of text, since we know that people process images faster and better than words. It is also a perfect opportunity to promote the brand’s unique “personality” through the use of their color palette, icons, lines & shapes, fonts, and other visual elements of their brand.
Spotlight #1 – iHealthHome
Our client iHealthHome had a complex story to tell about how their cloud-based software connects the entire care team of an independent senior living at home. Their original graphic required a lot of additional explanation since it wasn’t very clear how the parts and pieces related to each other. It also needed to have a more cohesive look & feel to match their clean, modern website and mobile app.
Our solution utilizes a minimalist-style icon set, a refined color palette based on their brand’s style guide, and an arrangement that more clearly shows the connection of the “who” and the “how”.
Spotlight #2 – Apptentive
Apptentive helps enterprise brands engage mobile customers to boost app ratings, drive downloads & earn customer loyalty. They frequently give us content as a rough wireframe in Google Docs or PowerPoint that we then stylize and unify with their brand’s fonts, colors, and styles to create a visually appealing, Apptentive-branded, shareable infographic.
Apptentive uses our infographics in their blog posts, downloadable eBook guides, and on social media. An effective and visually compelling infographic can even reach an untapped audience through social media sharing sites such as Pinterest and Twitter so a lot of people get to know them and what they like, it can be sports or even playing video games and getting a lot of lol wins.
Spotlight #3 – VillageReach
VillageReach is a non-profit global health innovator working to improve access to quality healthcare in remote and underserved “last mile” communities. To support their international effort to redesign the vaccine supply chain system globally in low-resource countries, VillageReach asked us to design an infographic that compares the current and proposed options for vaccine delivery to rural health clinics. VillageReach uses this infographic in presentations around the world and on their website to illustrate the significant benefits of a streamlined immunization supply chain: lower logistics cost and greater vaccine availability, resulting in higher vaccine rates among children.
Spotlight #4 – WaterTectonics
WaterTectonics designs and manufactures water treatment solutions for clients in oil & gas, mining, industrial, and construction applications. We have designed several infographics and diagrams for WaterTectonics that they use on data sheets, presentations, and other marketing collateral.
